Proposals are solicited for presenting Workshops to be held as part of DIMEA 2008, 10-12 September 2008.

Workshops can be half day or one day, taking place on September 9th and will be held in conjunction with DIMEA2008 (10-12 September 2008). Workshop organizers will be fully responsible for its organization and running, issuing the respective call for papers, undertaking the tasks of evaluation and selection, inviting participants, assuring smooth running and chairing of the Workshop sessions during its occurence, attracting required participation, etc.

DIMEA2008 registration fees will include optional participation to the workshop(s) for an additional participation fee that will essentially cover the expenses of the workshop implementation, including publication to DIMEA2008 proceedings, rooms and space provision, lunches and coffee breaks on the 9th of September.

The main criteria for workshop selection will be the focused subject matter and topic appeal to the DIMEA 2008 audience. The workshop proceedings will appear on the conference proceedings CD-ROM and will be indexed in the ACM Digital Library. The accepted papers must be ready at the same time as the final versions for the papers for the main conference (by 30ieth June 2008).

Please note that all workshop participants, including workshop organizers and presenters, must register for the conference and pay the conference registration fee (including the workshop participation fee).

You are requested to forward your two-page workshop proposal to Dr. Sofia Tsekeridou (sots@ait.edu.gr) by 21st April 2008 (extended).

Proposals should include:

1. Title and Topic
2. Paragraph justifying the workshop
3. Names and email addresses of General Chair(s) and Technical Chair(s)
4. Names and email address of all other organizers
5. Tentative list of invited speakers (if any)
6. Proposed duration of the workshop
7. Submission deadlines
8. Estimated breakdown between number of orals and invited papers
9. Requirements for space and equipment
